Our Mission is simple: to help start ups, small businesses and charities get the support they need to grow.

How we do it? We match organisations who need support with volunteer experts for free one-to-one advice, small group workshops and learning resources

Our Story

Digital Boost was founded in mid-2020 as the Covid-19 crisis started to unfold. We were amazed by the number of volunteers who joined the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). We realised that thousands of smaller organisations – like businesses, charities and social enterprises – also needed their own small army of volunteers to help them evolve and grow, and not just during Covid.

Small businesses are a powerful engine of inclusive economic growth. They’re also vital to our communities. But let’s face it, starting and running a small business is hard – and often lonely. Getting to grips with everything you’re supposed to know is overwhelming – and making sense of the support available can be exhausting.

From building a website and launching digital advertising to developing a business strategy and finding funding, many could do with a hand from people who’ve done this all before. We launched Digital Boost to create a place where founders and their teams can easily connect with friendly experts and other businesses for free.

Small businesses & charities get to build their network and gather personalised recommendations and tangible ideas they can act on. They choose their preferred learning format: 1-2-1 or in small groups, and get as many sessions as they need, one hour at a time.

Volunteers get a chance to share their expertise and give back, in a way that’s totally flexible and in their control.
